Cleansing is hands down my favorite part of my daily skincare routine.
I have combination-to-oily skin, and my T-zone tends to get greasy quickly, while the rest of my face goes between normal and dry depending on the weather.
There’s just something deeply satisfying about that refreshed, clean, oil-free feeling after a good cleanse.
I’ve tested everything from gel-based to foam and oil cleansers over the years, but none have felt holy grail-worthy—until I decided to try the Forest Essentials Delicate Facial Cleanser with Kashmiri Saffron & Neem.

I’ve been using it for about a week now, and today we’ll find out how it performs.

My Experience with Forest Essentials Delicate Facial Cleanser

Packaging and first Impressions
The product comes in a sleek, transparent plastic bottle with all the info about the product.
This cleanser is available in two sizes. I picked up the 50ml version, which doesn’t have a pump like the bigger one, but the squeeze nozzle lets out just the right amount. The lid closes with a twist, so it’s travel-friendly.
Texture and fragrance
The cleanser itself is a pretty golden color with a gel consistency that feels indulgent to apply.

One of the things I love most about it is the fragrance. It’s nothing like I’ve ever experienced before—a gorgeous floral scent blended with the aroma of saffron. It’s energizing and immediately refreshes me when I use it.
How it feels on the skin
On contact with wet skin, this cleanser gives a calming, cooling sensation. It lathers up in a jiffy—nothing too bubbly—and rinses off easily.
I’ve used this cleanser twice daily for a week now, and a little truly goes a long way.
Forest Essentials cleanser is balanced, which is great. It controls excess oil on my T-zone beautifully without making my cheeks feel tight or dry. I can tell a difference in my skin after rinsing it off. There’s a softness to my face, and I look radiant.
My skin instantly feels soft, fresh, and visibly brighter after each wash. I love that it feels gentle but effective, and it hasn’t caused any irritation so far.
How it performs on the skin
Even though I’m not acne-prone, I do tend to get occasional breakouts. I cannot vouch for its effectiveness for chronic acne, but I did notice more even-toned skin and a slight glow after three consistent days of use.
I like the fact that it doesn’t over-cleanse or leave a film behind. Unlike some cleansers that make the skin feel really tight and dehydrated, this one strikes a beautiful balance. My routine also feels more natural, since it’s based on Ayurvedic ingredients.
If your skin is dry, a good moisturizer post-wash would make it even more nourished. And if you have oily or combo skin like me, this fits perfectly.
Like all Forest Essentials products, Forest Essentials Delicate Facial Cleanser with Kashmiri Saffron & Neem is definitely quite pricey. However, I genuinely think that it’s worth the money for what it does.

Final Word
This face cleanser delivers a sensory-rich experience with visible skin benefits, especially for oily or combination skin types. The only reason it’s not a full 5-star product is the lack of a pump in smaller sizes, the strong scent, and the price tag. That said, if you value Ayurvedic skincare and love a luxurious feel, it’s worth paying for. And I see myself picking up the larger pack soon.
