VLCC Skin Defense Rose Water Toner | Review

If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you would know how much toners are  important for me. I use it regularly and don’t mind switching and trying new ones. So today I’m reviewing a toner which I’m using these days, it’s VLCC Skin Defense Rose Water Toner. I haven’t tried any product from VLCC before so it was the first one. I’m glad it didn’t disappoint me. Why not see how it went for me in my review?

About this product: This toner acts as a cooling and refreshing agent. It tones, nourishes and balances the skin.

Ingredients: Extracts of Quercus infectoria (Magic Nut) 3%, Aloe Vera (Aloe) 2%, Phoenix sylvestris (Date) 2%, Menta piperata (Mint) 1%, Rosa damascena (Rose) distillate QS.
VLCC Skin Defense Rose Water Toner Review
I’m  an avid user of toners. Once in a while I like experimenting with different toners. And by toners I means the ones which are free from harsh chemicals and alcohol. I have an oily skin so it’s a must for me! Besides cleansing, it helps in removing excess oil and refreshing my tired skin. If you follow CTM routine you would know how essential it is.
First of everything, I adore its fresh fragrance of roses. It doesn’t smell artificial at all. It gives a cool tingling sensation to my face upon applying it. I take few drops on a cotton pad and gently apply it after washing my face. It surely does more than good for my CTM routine. This toner has a faint pink tint which doesn’t show up on skin though. I get a smooth, bright and clean face as it takes care of the leftover grime that a face wash couldn’t remove. It controls oil for a decent period of time. It didn’t break me out. It doesn’t do anything for the pores but tightens them for a while. I even use it on winter since rose water has always been mild on my oily skin. Since it contains natural extracts as ingredients, it’s all way good for the skin. If you’re a regular CTM follower like me, this toner would be a great choice!
Pros:
• Has a invigorating fragrance of roses
• Contains natural extracts like mint and aloe vera.
• Cleanses the leftover dirt and grime well
• Gives a bright and smooth skin
• Keeps skin oil free for a longer time
Cons:
• Doesn’t tighten pores for a longer time
Final Word: It does what it’s job is, to tone and cleanse face. Smells like a natural rose water. However, it doesn’t do anything great for the pores. Anyway, worth giving a shot since it contains beneficial ingredients to soothe skin. Besides, it’s affordable.
Rating: 4/5
Do you include a toner in your skincare toner? Which toner do you use?
Lots of love,
Mariyam ❤

  1. Nice information. I love Rose water toner. I have been trying Omved Balancing Facial Toner which contains rose water & lavender mist from a long time, my skin looks fresh and young but I always love to try natural home remedies, I must try this one for sure.
