L’Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Foundation Review

L'Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Foundation packaging

The foundation comes in a sturdy glass bottle with a silver twisting cap and a manual pump. The pump releases an advocate amount of foundation for single use. However, you might need one or two more pumps to build up the coverage from medium to full. The only disadvantage of the packaging is that the leaked or extra foundation gets accumulated on the pump (as seen in the pictures below). The bottle details the brand name, label, batch code, shade range quantity, and distributor details. The tube comes inside a plastic box that details the information and ingredients.

About the shade and pigmentation of the foundation

L'Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Foundation swatch

I own the foundation in Golden Beige. Golden Beige is a little darker for my skin tone, but it goes perfectly when I am a little tanned during the summers. I personally use it as my main foundation for hiding the pigmentation and for other imperfections – pimples, blemishes, acne scars, and dark spots. The foundation blends well into the skin with the help of fingers. However, you can also use a brush or a wet sponge to conceal. The foundation gives a very natural and flawless look. It evenly hides all the imperfections. If you feel that something needs more coverage, you can use more foundation and build it up. You might need a color corrector in red or pink and a concealer in case you have really prominent dark spots or dark circles. You will have to apply the corrector below the concealer to cancel out any redness and darkness. This prevents the formation of a white cast.

Finish

The product itself feels very light and natural on the skin. It doesn’t add any heaviness or thickness to the skin. It doesn’t feel greasy and patchy on the skin. However, it can bring out the crease and fine lines on the skin if not powdered well. I would advise using a setting powder instantly after applying the foundation to avoid creasing around the lips and below the eyes. The foundation tends to settle within the fine lines, creases, and wrinkles when not powdered evenly. After using a setting powder, you can also use a setting spray to melt the liquids and powders into the skin. This gives the skin a natural and flawless finish.

Coverage

This foundation perfectly covers all your skin flaws – blemishes, dark spots, and acne scars without a glitch. Loreal describes and claims that the product is full coverage, anti-white casting, creamy, and a luscious foundation. I will double-check the claims to say that the foundation is more of a medium coverage (which is buildable) product, but it can be build depending on the imperfections.

Does it stand true to the claims?

The foundation does what the brand claims. It has been tested under different lightings and situations to counteract the effects of white casting. The foundation leaves a flawless finish without giving the person an ashy look. It has a smooth, creamy, and luscious texture that spreads across the skin evenly. You can easily blend this foundation into the skin with the help of a finger, precision brush, or a wet makeup sponge. It definitely stands alone in the category of affordable and high-quality face foundations.
