Inde Wild OG Dewy Lip Treatment Lip Balm Review

I’ve been using the Inde Wild OG Dewy Lip Treatment as my last step before bed, and it’s become the one balm I actually reach for.

But at this price, is it worth buying, or is it just a fancy clear gloss-balm?

What is the Inde Wild Dewy Lip Treatment?

The Inde Wild DLT, as the fanciers call it, is a rich, vegan lip balm inspired by the nourishing feel of desi ghee (it sounds odd until you try it).

It has that buttery, comforting slip, but it doesn’t feel like you literally put ghee on your lips.

OG is the clear, unscented version that gives lips a fresh, healthy-looking sheen without adding noticeable color. You can wear it alone, over liner or lipstick, or apply a good layer before bed as an overnight mask.

Ingredients

It’s built around humectants for hydration, plus emollients, waxes, and lipids to soften lips and lock that moisture in—basically the stuff you want in a hydrating lip balm when you’re dealing with dry, chapped lips.

• Squalane: An emollient that softens rough, dry lips and gives the balm some of its smooth glide (always nice!).
• Shea butter: Ah, shea butter. A dry-lip classic for a reason. It conditions the lips and reduces moisture loss, and I suspect it’s partly responsible for that rich, buttery feel I notice when I wear the balm overnight.
• Hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid: Hyaluronic acid attracts and holds water to hydrate. Of course, a humectant needs something on top to help keep that moisture in. Thankfully, this formula also contains plenty of emollients, lipids, and waxes.

Supporting ingredients (peptides, barrier-friendly lipids, and antioxidant oils/extracts like pomegranate, lotus, and vitamin E) add extra conditioning and barrier support.

Price

The Inde Wild lip balm comes in a 15 ml / 0.5 fl oz squeeze tube.

It costs around $19 in the US and ₹799 in India, although the brand runs discounts very often. Roughly, that works out to about $1.27/ml (or ₹53/ml). Prices can change, so check before you buy.

15 ml is a pretty generous amount compared with a standard stick balm. If you only use it at night, one tube should last you a while (think a couple of months). If you reapply throughout the day like a gloss (or you’re heavy-handed like me), you’ll go through it much faster.

My Experience with Inde Wild OG Dewy Lip Treatment

Packaging

The balm comes in a soft squeeze tube with a slanted applicator. I love this kind of packaging because I can apply it directly without sticking a finger into a pot.

This becomes especially important once I’m tucked into bed. Am I getting back up to wash my hands before applying lip balm? Absolutely not.

The tube looks practical, but still cute enough that I enjoy reaching for it—which, if you love beauty products, you know matters more than we admit.

Texture and finish

The texture is thick and glossy (think lip gloss-meets-lip mask). You can definitely feel it sitting on your lips, but not in a heavy way. It feels protective and comforting, like an occlusive layer.

It also doesn’t have the stringy, gluey tack of an old-school lip gloss. One layer is enough for a soft, dewy shine, while a little more creates that juicy clear-gloss look.

So yes, you can wear this to bed, but you can also wear it out of the house without looking like you’d wandered out halfway through your nighttime routine.

Scent

The OG lip treatment is unscented. I don’t notice anything floral, sweet or artificially perfumed when I put it on.

I appreciate that even more at night because I don’t necessarily need to smell vanilla cupcake, watermelon candy or a field of roses while I’m trying to fall asleep.

Some unscented products still have a strong waxy, raw-ingredient smell, but I don’t get much of that here.

How I use it overnight

I apply a generous—but not crazy thick—layer to clean, dry lips before bed. It wears like an overnight lip mask.

The balm stays comfortable for hours and keeps my lips moisturized until morning. When I wake up, my lips still feel soft, smooth, and hydrated. It also calms them when they peel or feel irritated.

How I use it after wearing lipstick

You know that feeling after you’ve worn lipstick all day and your lips are just…done?

That’s when I remove everything, gently clean my lips and smooth on a layer of Inde Wild OG. The texture immediately feels comforting and gives my lips a soft break from pigment and drier formulas.

I’ll leave it on for the rest of the evening, then put a little more on before bed if I feel like I need it.

How it wears during the day

During the day, OG works nicely as a clear balm, a glossy topper, or a one-product lip look.

It makes bare lips look smooth and juicy without adding color. Because of the glossy finish, it transfers onto cups and disappears faster after food. If I’m not eating or drinking, it lasts for a good 5-6 hours.

I just reapply whenever the shine wears off, or my lips start asking for more.

The hydration and shine make my lips look smoother and a little juicier, but it lasts temporarily.

Go for OG if you want a clear, unscented treatment for bedtime, post-lipstick comfort or simple daytime gloss.

Choose Wedding Rose or other tinted variants if you want the same cushiony feel with a visible flush tint. I love both, but OG lives by my bed while Wedding Rose spends more time in my bag.

Is Inde Wild Dewy Lip Treatment OG worth it?

For me, yes—but it’s a splurge balm.

The price and lack of SPF keep it from being a perfect five. Otherwise, it keeps my lips soft, hydrated, and comfortable—especially overnight and after lipstick.

You can absolutely find cheaper balms that work. I’d buy this for the plush texture, glossy finish, and how comfortable it stays.

If you only need a basic balm once in a while, skip it. If you like luxe-feeling lip care and you’ll actually use it, it’s easier to justify.
