LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Review – Berry

Chapped lips are one of my biggest nightmares. It’s impossible to apply lipstick over dry, flaky lips because it enhances the lines and makes the lips look very unflattering. My lips get dry to the point where the skin begins to peel off, and it becomes painful. I’ve tried countless lip balms, but none of them could help my cause.

I found the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask from a YouTube video, but the reviews were either very positive or very negative. I was a little hesitant to invest a lot into a lip balm, but I decided to give it a shot. Now, after having used this product for over a month, I’m ready to review it for you guys.

About the Product

The Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask gently melts away dead skin from the lips, making them feel smooth and elastic. Experience smooth lip night care with the new lip sleeping pack. Berry extracts are rich in vitamin C, and antioxidants act on dry, parched lips, making them smooth and supple. Laneige’s moisture technology is patented and puts active ingredients like hydro-ion mineral water, evening primrose root extract, & Hunza apricot extract in the dense beta-glucan moisture film (network). This lip mask helps the skin absorb the ingredients densely into the skin during 8 hours of sleep.

My Experience with LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask – Berry

First of all, the product comes packed in a pink cardboard box, which mentions all the details. The tub is pink as well and is circular. I think that packaging is quite sleek and photogenic.

The actual product has a light peach color but is certainly colorless on the lips. It has a fruity, berry scent, which I find very pleasant, and  I do not smell the product once it’s on my lips, which is a positive thing.

This product is available in 2 sizes, 20g and 8g; I got the 8g tub, and it does not come with a spatula. The 20g tub, however, comes with a little spatula. I use a silicone brush to avoid getting sticky fingers, and I also find it more hygienic. I personally prefer the small tub because it’s tiny and travel -friendly. Also, a little goes a long way with this product, so it’ll take you months to go through even the small tub.

The LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask is quite thick and rich, and it is not weightless. You will feel the product on your lips. It has a sticky consistency, so I highly recommend that you apply it right before you go to bed. If you apply it with your fingers, they will feel sticky until you wash them with soap. Once you wake up in the morning, you need to wipe away the remaining product with a tissue gently. You will find that all the dead skin from your lips will gently get wiped off from your lips. This mask literally ‘melts’ dead skin away!

However, if you are someone who does not experience parched lips, I wouldn’t recommend this product as it will not have any major effects for you.  I would suggest buying it only if no lip balm is working for you.

I have been enjoying the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask ever since I’ve started using it. It makes it extremely easy to apply matte lipsticks, and my lips never get chapped anymore. I absolutely love this product, and it is going to be a staple in my vanity for a very long time!

Pros:

  • Highly moisturizing
  • Removes dead skin gently
  • Cute packaging
  • Travel-friendly size available

Cons:

  • Expensive
  • The small tub does not have a spatula

Final Word

The LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask has my heart. It looks cute, smells delicious, and does everything it claims to do. It is a little expensive, but I don’t mind investing in a good quality product that actually performs. It’s a boon for my dry lips and I will repurchase and recommend it!
