My Experience with Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner – Bare to Comment
This lip liner comes in a cardboard box, which is quite impressive considering how affordable it is. The actual packaging of this lip liner is quite basic. It’s a retractable, black, pencil-shaped packaging with a color-coded cap. The cap shuts tightly with a satisfying click, which means that it is safe to carry this product in your handbag without having to worry about it getting messy. The packaging is sturdy.
The liner glides smoothly along the lips. The formula is softer than butter, and there’s no pulling or tugging at all, which makes it a joy to wear this lip liner. However, the product tends to break easily due to its creamy formula. You need to be careful with this product. Applying too much pressure or retracting too much product will break it. I have broken mine a couple of times now, and a little bit of the product has been wasted.
Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner has a long-lasting formula as well. I wore it without lipstick and the color did not fade. There is some fading, but nothing drastic. However, I have noticed that the application of this lip liner is a little bit streaky. No matter how much I blend it, I can’t get it to look smooth. Therefore, I don’t wear it by itself.
Bare With Me is a gorgeous peachy nude shade. It’s an excellent nude for light to fair skin and might wash out those with deeper skin tones. It is extremely pigmented and shows up even on my tanned lips.
I enjoy wearing this color under peachy nude lipsticks or my Nykaa lip gloss. Whenever I wear it with lip gloss, it causes the color to sink into my lip lines, but I don’t mind that very much because it looks absolutely stunning under lip gloss and makes my lips look fuller.
Another thing I have noticed about this lip liner is that it is not drying at all. If your lips are hydrated before you apply this product you do not have to worry about getting chapped lips.
