Lotus Herbals Apriscrub Fresh Apricot Scrub | Review

Hello beauties! How’s this chilling weather going on for you? For me it calls for hot soup and a warm blanket. Can’t believe it’s winters already! Anyways, today I’m reviewing Lotus Herbals Apriscrub Fresh Apricot Scrub which I included in My Budget Shopping Haul. My friend gifted me this scrub and since then, I’m using it regularly. Let’s see how it worked out for me!

About this Product: As your hair and nails grow, your skin also grows. Upper skin cells become dead and new cells are developed underneath. It is necessary to remove these dead cells to reveal the younger, radiant skin from underneath. Lotus Herbals Apriscrub is the perfect scrub to scrub away these dead cells gently without rupturing your skin. A young, radiant skin is what you get after using this scrub.

Price: Rs. 255/- for 180 gm, Rs. 145/- for 100 gm
Ingredients: Water, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot Kernal) Powder, Glyceryl Monostearate, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Isopropyl Myristate, Cetyl Alcohol, Light liquid Paraffin, Sodium Laurate sulfate, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Fragrance.

This scrub is basically a walnut scrub with a creamy texture. It has a faint fragrance of apricots which is not overbearing. A pea size contains lots of granules which seems good for thorough exfoliation. As obvious this scrub needs to be used on a moist face.

I use this scrub once or twice in a week. After washing face, I take two pea sizes of this scrub and gently exfoliate with circular motions for 2-3 minutes. Unlike other mild face scrubs, this one actually feels like you’re scrubbing skin. You need a really light hand while scrubbing as granules might feel harsh to sensitive skin. My face looks polished and soft post scrubbing. My skin feels rejuvenated and fresh. It doesn’t leave my skin parched and instead leaves a layer of moisture behind. I even use it as a body scrub and it fares well on that department too! It efficacy as a scrub is perfect as it does the job rigorously. Despite being a cream based scrub and me having an oily skin, it didn’t break me out till now. It will suit every skin type and this proved to be an effective scrub for my skin!
Pros:
• Has a sweet fragrance of apricot
• Contains lots of granules for heavy exfoliation
• Leaves skin soft and moisturized
• Doesn’t break out or irritate skin
• Works well as a body scrub
Cons:
• Granules might feel harsh for sensitive skin
Final Word: Apricot scrubs are abrasive on skin but this one worked well for me. It does its job of exfoliation well and leaves skin soft, supple and moisturized. Oily, dry and combination skin will like this but if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin you may give it a skip. If you prefer a tough face scrub, then it’s for you!
Rating: 4/5
I hope you liked reading my review. What kind of facial scrubs do you prefer for your skin? Mild or abrasive? Share ????
Lots of love,

  1. Somehow most lotus herbals products contains parabens which makes me think twice before buying. Loved your review btw 🙂
