L’oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo – Review

L'oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo

Good afternoon girls! When it comes to shampoos, I prefer the ones that combat hair damage and make my hair silky and smooth.

I’ve used Sunsilk in the past and it made my hair fall worse so I stopped using it. I’m sure you’ve seen the ad of L’oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Shampoo where Aish endorses it in a hot red dress looking so sensual.

I was amazed at how one shampoo can repair 5 problems of hair. So I purchased it to see it myself and my review will be on this shampoo today…

My Experience with L’oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo

After having a bad experience with my previous shampoo, I bought this in hope of getting my damaged hair repaired. It comes in a white wide plastic bottle with a red flip top cap that shuts tight and a screw cap below it.

The first time I opened it, the divine and sweet fragrance spread all over my bathroom. This shampoo is in white color and has a creamy texture that is in thick consistency. I took a coin-sized amount and then applied it on my wet hair and then massaged it thoroughly. I took another coin size amount and reapplied. After 2 minutes I rinsed off.

I can see that there was less hair fall. It washed off the oil I had on my hair pretty easily. I have straight hair that can frizz easily if I use too much shampoo but surprisingly it didn’t frizz at all.

The fragrance stayed on my hair for 2-3 hours and every minute I couldn’t resist smelling. It gave a lustrous shine to my hair and instant smoothness. It also dealt well with my oily scalp. But I guess it requires a lot of chemicals to do this to someone’s hair.

I’ve used this shampoo more than 7-8 times and it keeps my hair shiny and oil-free for 4-5 days. I like this shampoo a lot and maybe I’ll purchase another bottle. I’m not sure if it permanently repairs the damage but after washing your hair with this, it surely does.

Pros:

  • The smell is sweet and overwhelming.
  • Washes off dirt and oil easily.
  • Doesn’t cause dryness and frizz.
  • Makes hair shiny and silky.

Cons:

  • Contains Sodium Laureth Sulphate and other chemicals.

Recently I had bought Loreal white red shampoo from a shop in Navi Mumbai, strangely my hair is getting heavier after applying shampoo, experienced almost 3 times, seems as if I had applied oil, this never happened earlier, and I am scratching my scalp after shampooing with white things coming in my nails, I had been using the shampoo and conditioner almost more than 4 yers but never found this thing, whether the composition has changed or the box is particularly wrong item not sure, please let me know if people are having same experience.

    1. Hello.. I was using a different brand shampoo for ages.. when my husband introduced Loreal revive shampoo, I liked it initially. My children too started using for hair shampoo. Within few days we all develop severe itchy scalp and lost lots of hair on daily basis. Hair has become dry and it made us worried. Children too started with same issues. I have stopped using it.
