Just Herbs Root Nourishing Amla Neem Shampoo : Review

These days I’m being into natural shampoos with less or no chemicals at all because I’m dealing with a bad hair fall and it’s getting worse. Stress is one of the reasons. I think controlling hair fall is easier than controlling the root of stress so I’ve bought myself a herbal shampoo. It’s Just Herbs 8 in 1 Root Nourishing Amla Neem Shampoo.
Just Herbs is an organic skin care brand that is recently launched and has great variety of products. This shampoo contains hibiscus, wheatgerm and vetiver and is paraben and sulfate free which makes it harmless to use! After using it I’m ready for my take on this shampoo.

Price: Rs. 475/-

Quantity: 200 ml

Key Ingredients: amla ext 0.5%, neem ext 0.5%, hibiscus 0.5%, henna ext 0.5%, vetiver ext 0.5%, fenugreek 0.5%, soy lecithin 0.1%, wheatgerm oil 0.1%

Shelf Life: 3 years from MFD; Best use within 6 months of opening.

It comes in a cylindrical  transparent plastic bottle with a golden  screw cap. It also has a stopper beneath the cap. This packaging is travel friendly than most of the shampoo bottles.

My Experience: I have normal hair that tends to get on the oilier side sometimes and this shampoo is meant for normal to dry hair! It’s lime green colored and it’s consistency is runny. It has a gel texture. Smells like blend of herbs mixed together. Not sure if sensitive noses can bear it but after washing, hair smells really nice and fresh. It lathers very well despite being free from sulfate. I take at least 2 dime sized amounts to wash my hair.

It cleans off very well. Oiled hair may need 2 proper washes. It doesn’t dry out hair and leaves them silky and bouncy the same way a commercial shampoo does! I didn’t expected that from a herbal shampoo.
Its mild fragrance lingers on for a long time. My hair stays grease free for 2-3 days and after that my scalp gets oily. I liked using this shampoo and the effect it gave to my hair.

Pros:
● An organic sulfate and paraben free shampoo.
● Lathers well and cleans scalp.
● Smells great!

Cons:
● It is bit pricey.
● Scalp starts getting oily after 3 days.

Final Word: So far I like using this shampoo and will always prefer this over other commercial ones as it’s safe SLS free and doesn’t harm my hair. I’d definitely think of repurchasing this shampoo once it gets over!
