Hey ladies! Monsoon has hit its way here—what wonderful weather except for the muddy puddles that ruin the roads and streets here. But since I’m not going anywhere, I will enjoy myself here at home with tea and some pakodas.
Like every season, monsoon too comes with signature shades which are perfect for this season. I think ‘teal’ is one of ’em. So I’ll review a nail paint today, Maybelline Color Show Tenacious Teal Shade 301. Because teal is the new deal. 😉
Shelf Life: 3 years
Teal is a lovely color that suits every complexion. Maybelline Color Show Tenacious Teal comes in a cylindrical glass bottle with a black cap with the brand name. The brush of this nail paint is fine and spreads color easily.
My Experience: The smell of this nail polish is quite strong, just like any other. Its consistency is a bit thicker. I applied the base coat first, which is clear nail polish. The color shows up in one coat, and if you want to build more color, you need to coat more. The color payoff is awesome in just two coats. It doesn’t take time to dry, and within 5-10 minutes, it dries up quickly, so you need to apply and spread fast. It gives a glossy finish that looks chic. I didn’t put any top coat above it because I didn’t felt the need to.
I have applied two coats on my middle and pinky finger, where on other fingers only one coat is applied. See the difference, eh? |
Pros:
- This nail paint is affordable.
- It dries up quickly.
- Gives a glossy finish to nails.
- Has a unique teal color.
Cons:
- Its smell can be bothering but is that even a con?
Final word: This is a wonderful nail polish, and the teal color is so different and feels unique. It dries up quickly, leaving a shine. This shade will suit every skin tone and make it brighter. Colorshow range from Maybelline has got some more exotic shades which I’ll be trying soon. Get one for yourself too. 😉
