My Experience with NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Exotic
The NYX Lip Lingerie lipstick comes without an outer cardboard packaging. Instead, it comes packed in a transparent plastic film that ensures the newness of the product. The tube is made of acrylic glass and is transparent, while the cap is a glossy black color. The tube mentions every detail about the lipstick, from the ingredients to the shelf life. You get 4 ml of product with a shelf life of 18 months, which is decent for the price.
The wand of this lippie is quite interesting. It’s not flimsy at all, is long and sleek, and picks up the right amount of product so you can coat your lips in one go.
The NYX Lip Lingerie has a suede matte finish, with a consistency that is thick and moussey, and the pigmentation is opaque. On application, it feels creamy and is very easy to apply, but once it dries, it settles into a matte finish. I think that it looks and feels different from the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream, which tends to be more drying and looks a bit crusty, in my opinion.
This lipstick is not transfer-proof, but because it’s very highly pigmented, it will last on your lips for a good amount of time. It will start to fade when you eat or drink, but otherwise won’t budge. After about 5 hours of application, it feels slightly drying to me, so I really recommend using a lip balm before application.
The shade Exotic is a muted brick red, and has pink undertones, and is a perfect dupe for the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Lolita II. It looks different on each skin tone, but is very flattering on all skin tones and is a perfect nude for medium and dark-skinned beauties.
It’s also one of the very few wearable shades from this range, in my opinion, because most of the shades are way too light for Indian skin tones and will wash out the face. Exotic, however, is a gorgeous shade for everyday wear and can also be worn with party looks to balance out heavy eye makeup.
NYX Lip Lingerie is quite easy to remove. It can be removed with micellar water, but it comes off extremely easily with an oil-based cleanser.
Finally, for Rs 650, I think it’s extremely budget-friendly. The formula is very high quality, and I personally prefer is way more than the formula of NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream.
