Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Brown | Review & Swatches

I’m an avid user of Lakme, be it lipsticks, eyeliners, foundations, or kajal! I always had mixed experiences with most of their products. Let’s talk about their kajal today, I’ve used and reviewed the first kajal stick from this brand and also reviewed its Eyeconic range with shades like Regal Green and Brown. And now I’m going to review and share swatches of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Brown!

Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Brown | Review & Swatches
As always, this kajal comes in a black retractable pencil with the shade name written at the bottom in a sea-green strip. The shade name isn’t color-coded so identifying the shade is time-consuming. The cap shuts tight and there’s no chance of it recklessly opening. You can always toss it inside the purse!

Needless to say, ‘Brown’ is a typical brown shade with ash tones. It’s like a flawless brown shade for captivating eyes. It’s intensely pigmented and lines the eyes in one swipe. Its texture is creamy thus, it glides easily without tugging. It’s smudge-free so it doesn’t get rubbed away (if you have the habit of rubbing eyes). On dusky skin tone, it may take 2 swipes to completely show. I don’t use it on my waterline but below it as it gets easily smudged away. Its staying power is impressive as it stays on my oily eyelids for at least 5-6 hours and after that, it smudges and transfers onto my under-eye area. A smart idea is to apply brown eyeshadow upon the kajal if you have oily eyelids and it won’t smudge and stay for long. You will need a makeup remover or simply use coconut/olive/almond oil to remove it. It can also be used in combination with black kajal to give a smokey look to the eyes. It’s an excellent shade for everyday wear, be it night or day.

Swatches:

Pros:
  • Pretty shade apt for any occasion be it night or day
  • Affordably priced
  • Has a creamy texture that glides smoothly on eyes
  • Smudge-proof finish
  • Stays for a long period of time
Cons:
  • Doesn’t stay on the waterline for long.
Final Word: I like this ashy brown shade that adds instant serenity to my eyes and looks perfect for an everyday look. It has a soft texture that is smudge-proof and stays up to 5-6 hours easily. I recommend this kajal as it will look smokin’ hot on every skin tone.
