What I love most about Elle 18 lipsticks is their packaging. They come in a black case with a cool girl printed over. It’s quite girly and cute. Cap shuts tight but sometimes opens up in purse if not shut properly.
My Experience: I love lipsticks if you already know that. I can’t leave the house without a pop of color on my lips. If you’re a regular reader of my blog you would’ve read my reviews on two Elle 18 Color Boost lipsticks which are here and here.
As usual, this lipstick has a balmy core in the center. It has a smell of cocoa butter that isn’t overpowering.
The texture of this lipstick looks matte on the bullet and comes out creamy when applied on lips. It glides smoothly without tugging. One swipe brings a sheer wash of color. You need 2-3 swipes for a full coverage.
It’s good that the intensity of shade is buildable so those who prefer light coverage will love it! It’s delicate so I apply it with a light hand or else it might break.
Hot Pink is a shade true to its name. It is hot pink with purple undertones and looks more purple on lips. It will suit wide variety of skin tones. It will look flawless on dusky beauties.
It’s staying power is 2-3 hours after which you need to reapply. It doesn’t stay longer because of it’s creamy texture but I don’t mind. It does not leave any stain behind.
