Let me tell you a secret – I’m a sucker for lip balms. My lips can’t do without them, so I always have at least 2-3 of them with me. But today, I’m talking about lip butters, which are a bit different than lip balms.

Their formula is slightly more moisturizing and buttery than a lip balm.

I’ll be reviewing a lip butter that I love these days – Nivea Lip Butter in Blueberry Blush. I’ll tell you why it’s so good.

Ingredients:

Nivea lip butter comes in a cute purple tin with blueberries printed on the cap. You can open it by screwing the cap or just by pulling it. I absolutely adore this beautiful packaging and this was one of the reasons for getting it.

My Experience with Nivea Lip Butter Blueberry Blush

Upon opening this tin, I could smell a faint fragrance of blueberries.

It contains the goodness of shea butter, castor oil, and sweet almond oil, which are natural lip moisturizers.  To me, it’s a little tin of happiness.

It has a smooth buttery texture. Many would find this tub packaging unhygienic as one has to take it out with a finger, but I don’t really mind it. If it’s cute, it’s worth it!

It glides on lips like butter. It doesn’t impart a super shiny look but just a bit of glossiness. After applying it, my lips look healthy and hydrated.

I wear it under my lipstick or even on top of it to achieve fuller-looking lips. It heals chapped lips overnight.

It gives my lips the needed moisture and stays on for 5-6 hours without eating. Even after eating, it doesn’t lose its intensity. Its fragrance fades slowly.

It has a huge quantity, so it’s going to last me long. Also, I’d love to try other variants of this lip butter.

Pros:

  • Keeps lips moisturized for longer hours.
  • Heals chapped lips overnight.
  • It has a sweet fragrance of blueberries.
  • Super buttery texture
  • Light formula that doesn’t feel heavy on lips.

Cons:

  • Packaging may seem unhygienic to many.
