L.A. Colors Matte Liquid Lip Color Fierce | Review & Swatches
This liquid lipstick comes in a glass cylindrical packaging with a black twist cap which shouts matte! The packaging is similar to Colourpop liquid lipsticks. It has a long doe foot applicator which picks the right amount of the product. It glides well onto the lips. First, I apply it to my lower lips, then I press both of my lips and apply it to even the finish. Since it’s a matte liquid lipstick, I need to apply it and set it quickly before it dries. It’s smooth and buttery when applied to lips. It has a light coconut-vanilla type of scent.
The shade Fierce is a warm-toned purplish-mauve shade which I hope will suit all skin tones especially the duskier ones. On my dusky skin, it flatters. It is well pigmented and gives an opaque finish.
After applying the lipstick, it settles into a matte, velvety finish. I don’t even feel that I’ve applied something. I always moisturize my lips properly before coating them with a liquid lip color. It makes my lips kind of dry but that’s okay because after all, it’s a matte liquid lipstick. It feels comfortable when this lipstick is freshly applied, but after few hours it’s a different story. I have used this lip color 3-4 times and the only thing unflattering is its wear time. As soon as I eat something, it starts to crumble and gives an unappealing look. Oily food can make it disappear out of the lips and the only thing left is a light tint of the shade.
Swatches:
Pros:
- Affordable
- Gives a velvety matte finish
- Has a pleasant scent to it
- The shade will look good on all skin tones
- Leaves a tint behind
Cons:
- Lips feel dry after few hours
- Starts to crumble after a meal
Final Word: No doubt It’s one of the affordable matte liquid lipsticks. It has a buttery texture that spreads on lips effortlessly. I was okay with drying of the lips but it starts to crumble as soon as I eat something. Also, it doesn’t stay for more than 2-3 hours. Nevertheless, it’s a quite pretty and unique shade which is universally flattering on all skin tones. It leaves a lovely tint behind when it gets off completely. It’s up to you to decide whether to go for this one or not!

Have you tried L.A. Colors Matte Liquid Lip Color Fierce? Can you suggest me some affordable liquid lipsticks that are non-drying?
Shade looks gorgeous and similar to Stila Patina or Mac Mehr lipstick. I hate when lips feel dry or lipstick starts to crumble after meal. This is the reason why i do not like colourpop ones as they crumble on my lips too. Wish LA girls improve the formula. I heard good things about their foundation. Their concealer and corrector was my go to choice at some point .

By the way, u should try Gerard cosmetics Hydra matte as they do not crumble and shade ‘everything nice’ would be very flattering on you.

The shade looks very pretty on you! I would like to check out this shade and others. 🙂
Thanks love 🙂
The shade is very pretty. But I don’t think I will go for it as my lips are already very dry and this dries out more…
