Hello girls 🙂
I’m kind of a no makeup girl and avoid it as much as I can. But when there’s a function or anything fancy I can’t just go like a Plain Jane and need to perk up my face. I’ve always had struggle finding that perfect foundation which would look natural and not ashy
on me. So for my dusky skin I bought Coloressence Aqua Make Up Base in Brown shade. I’ll share my experience with it in this review.

Description: It gives a complete coverage to the skin by its easy to spread and blend quantity with SPF 20. It protects the skin from UV rays while maintaining the moisture effect. Can be used for daily wear. Apply smoothly and blend till it seems completely absorbed.

Price: Rs. 150/-

Quantity: 35 ml

Shelf Life: 3 years

Ingredients: Vitamin E acetate, Punarnava extract.

Coloressence Aqua Makeup Base comes in a small transparent tube with a black screw cap. Since it is small it’s easy to carry it anywhere in the purse. It comes in three shades.

My Experience: It’s a makeup base/primer but can be used as a foundation. I have a dusky skin so I chose the shade Brown LF-2 close to my complexion. Consistency of this foundation is creamy and thick. It has a sweet fragrance in it. This shade will suit most of the dusky skins but it imparts an orangish tint on skin if not blended properly.

I moisturize my face every time before I apply this because it makes dry skin patchy. After applying, it gives light to medium coverage to the skin. But it can be built by applying and blending. After few minutes it starts getting sweaty on summer days so to avoid it I apply loose powder/compact over it to make it stay long. I accidentally wiped my face with handkerchief and most of the color got transferred on it. Setting it with loose powder/compact powder/pressed powder is a must. It stays 4 hours on my oily skin which is a decent period of time. It also claimed to SPF which I’m not sure worked or not.

I also use this makeup base as a concealer because of its thick consistency and build up color by layers and blend it properly. Once you’ve mastered the art of blending you can carry any foundation gracefully.

Swatches:

Pros:
● Affordable and quantity is adequate for a prolonged usage.
● Suits dark complexion very well.
● Provides good coverage.
● Stays on for pretty much longer.
● Contains SPF 20.

Cons:
● This foundation gets transferred when wiped off.
● Face starts getting sweaty after application.

Final Words: This foundation will suit every skin type and moisturizing is a must. It stays on face for long hours without making it look ashy or cakey. It provides a light to medium coverage and contains SPF too i.e good for daily use. For this price you’re getting a lot and budgeted ladies should give this a try.
