Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color is one of their most famous products. I was introduced to it by a friend who constantly raved about the formula. A lipstick that feels like a lip balm? Totally my kind of thing! I watched countless swatch videos online and finally decided that I wanted the shade ‘Babe’ for myself.
To my surprise, however, it seemed to be always out of stock. I had to wait for months to finally be able to get my hands on it. I’ve been using it for over a month now, and I’m ready with a tried and tested review. Let’s go!

How to Use:
- Swipe the lipstick once on your lips for a blotted look
- Build up the color for an intense color payoff
My Experience with Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color – Babe
The lipstick arrives in a black cardboard box that mentions all the details. The packaging is black, minimal, and classy. It is not very heavy but does not feel cheap at all. The lid closes securely, making it a travel-friendly product. I like that a color-coordinated band runs through the center of the packaging, making it easy to identify the shades if you own multiples. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom.
Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color has a classic lipstick shape with a pointed tip for precise application. It doesn’t have a strong discernable scent as such. There’s a very faint chemical scent, but nothing you can smell post-application.
Now, let’s talk about the most interesting part- the formula! The lipstick applies very smoothly along the lips. After the first swipe, you will notice that not a lot of pigment is transferred on the lips. That is the beauty of these lipsticks. They give a blotted, soft look without having to use a brush or your fingers.
However, if you are not a fan of blotted lips and enjoy a fully pigmented pout, fret not, because these lipsticks are highly buildable. In two or three swipes, it is easy to achieve an opaque finish. Another great thing I noticed is that formula does not get cakey even after 4-5 layers of product. It gives a soft matte finish but feels like a lip balm. You can rub your lips together without feeling any sort of dryness.
The formula is very comfortable and does not dry out the lips. It is not transfer-proof and does transfer slightly. But the pigmentation is such that the color won’t disappear from your lips. At the end of the day, the lips look just as healthy as they look post-application. Moreover, reapplying this lipstick is very easy.
The shade Babe is described as a medium blue pink by the brand, which I think is spot-on. It is a shade that will flatter every skin tone. It gives a gorgeous MLBB look to the lips, and if you swipe it just once, your lips will look pink and healthy without even looking like you’re wearing lipstick! A great everyday color, Babe just brightens up the face and I think that every girl should have it.
I have fallen head over heels in love with the formula of Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color. It feels like a lip balm but looks like lipstick. It is undoubtedly pricey, but this formula is something that does not exist in the drugstore. I believe that you should give it a shot at least once. Don’t blame me if you get addicted!
Pros:
- Luxe packaging
- Travel friendly
- Blotted finish

Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color Babe

Although expensive, Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color is worth the hype and praise it gets. If you’re going to pick up one shade from this range, I highly recommend Babe. I love this lipstick with all my heart, and will certainly keep repurchasing it.
