Even though I love lipsticks with all my heart, I have those days when I just don’t feel like wearing one.
Especially during the summer, I tend to enjoy lip stains and tints a lot more than lipsticks. They’re weightless and their application is usually hassle-free.
After having a positive experience with my Etude House tints, I decided to splurge a little and got my hands on Gogotint by Benefit.
Benefit is world-famous for its tints, and I wanted to see what the hype is all about. Let’s find out!

My Experience with Benefit Cosmetics Gogotint Cherry Red Lip & Cheek Stain
The product comes in a lovely bright pink colored packaging. The white cap has to be rotated to open and close the bottle. Overall, I think that reflective packaging is quite pretty and photogenic, keeping in line with most Benefit products.
The packaging actually looks a lot like nail polish. The applicator is a brush that I’m not a huge fan of. It sometimes tends to disperse more product than required, making it tricky to control the amount of product, especially when you’re new to Benefit tints.
If you have used Benetint, you will know that its consistency is water-thin and very runny. The consistency of Gogotint is quite different. It’s gel-like and a little bit thicker than Benetint. The pigmentation of this product is extremely high.
A little bit of Gogotint goes a long way. Just a couple of small dots are adequate to create a pretty stained effect on the cheeks. However, you need to pay attention because if you use more than needed, you can end up with clown cheeks.
Once this product sets, it’s almost impossible to remove it instantly, so I highly recommend going slow and building it up as needed.
As opposed to the brand’s description of the product being cherry red, the product is actually more of bright pink. Gogotint can go from blush pink to hot pink on the lips, depending on how much you layer it.
It will neither moisturize your lips nor dry them out, and it will simply add a tint to your lips. The color will suit all skin tones.
No matter how much you layer this lip tint, it will not become cakey or flakey. It is extremely lightweight and stays put throughout the day. I have very oily skin, but the tint didn’t budge from my cheeks. Even after eating or drinking, the tint does not disappear from the lips.
It is available in 2 sizes. I picked the smaller bottle because I wanted to test the product out. It is quite expensive, but it lasts for a really long time, so I think it’s worth the price.

Final Word
I think that Benefit’s Gogotint is a product worth investing in because it performs extremely well. It looks pretty on every skin tone, and stays put for hours and hours. I will certainly repurchase it and I highly recommend it!
