Hey, love! ❤
Hello, it’s almost the spring now as the winter is bidding goodbye. The weather has gone from chilly to fresh, sunny weather. It calls for a day outing! My winter vacation is going to come to an end and I’m excited to go to college because staying on the bed and doing nothing the whole day is the last thing I’d want to do. So coming back to today’s post, I’m sharing with you my current skincare routine for oily skin. I’ll be combining my night time skincare routine as well. If you’ve been reading my blog, you know I have an oily acne-prone skin with large pores. It becomes essential to care for my skin type as I am prone to breakouts and whiteheads. Though, I try my best to care for my skin. Let’s move on to the post.
- Face Wash
The first step in the morning, I use Nivea Refreshing Face Wash It’s a faint blue colored gel face wash that cleanses skin gently. It leaves my skin soft.
At night, before hitting the bed, I wash my face with Swiss Tempelle Ever White Face Wash. It has few small beads which do the light exfoliation. It is a cream-based face wash doesn’t leave my skin dry. I’ll be reviewing it in detail soon.
I do facial massage once a week. For this, I use Just Herbs Aloe Vera Facial Massage Gel which I got in my Fab Bag. As soon as I wash my face, I scoop out some gel and massage in my face focusing on my cheeks and forehead. After doing it for 3-4 minutes in circular motions, I let the product absorb and then wash my face with plain water following up with the toner.
I wash my face two times a day and both the times, I make sure I use toner. I use Kaya Acne Free Purifying Toner which is good for oily skin. It never breaks me out and cleans my skin post face wash.
These days I’m using Seer Secrets Aloe Vera & Guduchi Hydrating & Retexturing Facial Serum which sinks into the skin right away after the application. It doesn’t even look like I’ve applied something. It makes my skin look much healthier and brighter. I’d recommend this serum, especially for oily skin. I use this two times a day.
I am using Kronocare Bash The Gloss Moisturizing Face Cream for moisturizing my skin these days. It’s meant for normal to oily skin and gives a matte look after the application. It is made of essential oils like tea tree, bergamot, and rosemary and is free from chemicals like paraben, sulfate, mineral oil, etc. It is hydrating and non-greasy for my oily skin in this cold weather.
Needless to say, using a sunscreen or sunblock is crucial for the skin. I’m using Lotus Herbals Matte Look Daily Sunblock in SPF 40 whenever I’m stepping out of the house in the daytime. It has a powdery formula which gets absorbed into my skin and gives a matte finish. It’s an important step in my skincare routine.
7. Lip Balm
As much as moisturizing the facial skin is essential, hydrating lips is essential as well. Before hitting the bed, I apply 2-3 swipes of Matra Holistic Lip Care Balm. It keeps my lips moisturized until morning and they feel soft.
8. Face Mask
I have lots of face masks that I end up using only a few of them. Currently, my skin is going through a breakout phase so I’m using this Auravedic Anti Blemish Face Mask. It doesn’t dry out my skin and gives me relief from painful pimples. Again, it’s good for oily skin.
I exfoliate my skin once in a week during cold weather. I’m using Lakme Blush and Glow Face Scrub which has lots of scrubbing granules which makes my skin clear. This is apt for oily skin as it is bit abrasive. I won’t recommend it to sensitive or acne-prone skin type though.
10. Makeup Removal
My daily makeup is very light and consists of Sunblock or BB cream with SPF, a dash of lip color, and sometimes kajal. Even when I use just the sunblock, I always remove my makeup at the end of the day and currently I’m using 100x Washed Ghee made by my lovely friend, Utkarshini. As the name suggests it is made by washing Ghee 100 times with turmeric water so it’s not greasy. I massage my face with this product and then clean it off by cotton pad following the face wash. It leaves my skin glowing and hydrated. You can order it here by DMing her.
So, this was my current skincare routine for oily skin. The products I mentioned work well for my oily skin and may also work for other skin types as well. So you can give them a try. I hope you liked reading my post. Do leave your comment to show some love. 😊
