“Who runs the world?”
It’s 2017 and women have already solidified their place in the modern world. With significant contributions in the realms of medicine, business, art, architecture, and politics, among others, women have proven time and again that we can get things done, wherever we might be.
However, our busy schedules sometimes tend to get in the way of our taking care of ourselves–and that should never be the case.
Health problems, both physical and mental, can wreak havoc on our personal and professional lives. Which is why taking better care of ourselves is not something that we should ever consider putting off.
When we take care of our health, we develop a healthy inside and a beautiful outside–and allow ourselves to blossom into the powerful women we are meant to be. Which brings me to share this helpful infographic to a healthier you.
For easier reading, this infographic has been divided into four sections.
First, a quick look at the mental and physical health differences between men and women. Not only are women more prone to mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression, but they also have a lower metabolism rate. So, we really need to be on point when it comes to taking care of ourselves–and there’s no better time to do so than now.
The infographic also outlines a three-fold approach to women’s health, covering 1) Diet, 2) Exercise and 3) Mental Health.
Convention advises that our diets should include an increased daily intake of fruit and vegetables and, at the same time, encourages less consumption of junk food.
Moreover, it tells us that even if we can’t go to the gym, we should still find the time for some form of physical activity each day–walking, rather than driving to work, for instance, is a good way to squeeze in some exercise.
Equally important, but often overlooked, is mental health. Introducing meditation into your daily routine, or just taking some time off can do wonders to help you recharge and rejuvenate yourself. Also, avoid alcohol, smoking, drugs, and other vices.
Doing everything I’ve just outlined may be difficult to attempt all in one go. I’d advise you to check out the third section of the infographic for a sample of a daily health routine you can adapt and adjust to your lifestyle. Just make sure that when you do customize it, however, you still follow general guidelines.
Remember, too, that the journey towards becoming a healthy woman is one that includes the help of medical professionals. Breast cancer, osteoporosis, and even simple vision tests are all helpful medical procedures that can keep us in top shape. The infographic provides an easy reference for when a check-up is due.
The result of careful research and the personal experiences of many women (including myself), it also gives you a compact visual representation of all the essential information you need to know about women’s health. It’s is easy to read and remember. You can even save it on your phone.
