1. Start having green tea regularly.
As you all know green tea is an antioxidant and has so many benefits to body and skin. Having it on regular basis will keep your weight and metabolism in check and maintain your health. It will also alleviate the pre-wedding stress you are most likely to face.
2. Use minimal makeup
Make it a point to use minimal to no makeup before your wedding. Use this time to pamper yourself with homemade beauty recipes like face packs, body obtains and natural ingredients that beautify your skin. This will help your skin breathe from within and with less makeup, you’re less likely to get breakouts or other skin issues.
3. Scrub regularly
Use a face scrub twice every week so there’s no chance of dirt, dead skin build-up. Pick a face scrub according to your skin type and make sure it isn’t abrasive. Scrubbing regularly will polish your skin and get you rid of those pesky whiteheads and blackheads.
4. Consult a dermatologist
The wedding is getting closer and you need to look flawless and that can only be achieved when you have a clear skin. Whatever skin issues you have like acne, pigmentation or irritation, go to a reputed dermatologist and get your major skin concerns treated at least before 3-4 months prior wedding.
5. Eat lots of fruits
Who likes a bride with a dull and sullen face? Start including fresh fruits in your diet that are rich in antioxidants and vitamin C like strawberries, oranges, apples, avocados, pineapples etc. Fruits detox body and also aids in weight loss.
6. Don’t miss the sunscreen. Ever.
Having a tanned skin on your wedding day can be the worst thing ever. Use a sunblock not less than SPF 50 daily on your face, neck arms and whichever part of your body is exposed to the sun. Once you get tanned skin, it takes a lot of time to get back to your original skin color so better prevent than cure, right?
7. Stay hydrated and get movin’
Follow a simple exercise regime to get rid of unwanted fat in your body. Start jogging or maybe join a gym, whatever feels convenient to you. Besides looking beautiful on that day make sure your body looks as fit as your pretty face. Drink at least 10 big glasses of water in a day to keep yourself hydrated. Water will keep your skin clear and glowing.
8. Focus on eye and lips
Eyes and lips are the first feature people notice. 2-3 months prior to wedding apply under eye serum and for long and thick eyelashes apply a natural oil like olive/coconut/almond oil. Also scrub your lips at least once a week. You can make a lip scrub by mixing coarsely powdered sugar, olive oil and few drops of vitamin E. By following this regime, you’ll get soft, rosy lips.
9. Take care of unwanted hair
Don’t wax a day before your wedding or you’ll get irritated skin because of the products you’ll use on your skin. Talking about the face, start using natural remedies to remove facial hair. Make a paste of turmeric, gram flour (besan), curd or milk and apply it your facial hair. Let it sit for 30 minutes and once it dries off to remove the paste in the direction of hair growth. Wash off with water and apply a good quality moisturizer. You can also go for a laser hair removal treatments 3 months before the wedding.as it will require many sessions to get rid completely of the hair.
10. Have a makeup trial before wedding
You wouldn’t afford to bad on that special day, would you? Try out your wedding makeup before your wedding so that you’ll have an idea how you would look and avoid makeup disasters. Choose to look subtle and minimal with makeup only accentuating not more than two features of your face. Don’t go overboard and you’ll look the prettiest bride out there!
