Hey pretties! Winter is on the fleek and Christmas is on its way, isn’t this festive season exciting? It gives me inspiration to write and write more. My exams has just finished and I feel so free and buckled up for the blogging scene. Here I am with a review of a pretty highlighter I came across – Coloressence Satin Smooth Highlighter Blusher in shade SH-1 which is a beautiful golden shade. Let’s hop onto the review now!
Coloressence Satin Smooth Highlighter Blusher Review
The brand claims it as a blush cum highlighter but actually it’s just a highlighter. It comes cased in a round black case with a transparent screw cap. Its packaging resembles a lot like MAC’s single eyeshadow packaging. Its packaging is not flimsy but not that great either. Being a highlighter, it’s very affordable.
It’s very pigmented. It has a finely milled and smooth texture, nothing like chunky glitter types. I take some of the product on my brush and gently swipe it across my cheeks. I like the fact that it’s buildable and layers can be added as needed. It blends in a jiffy and the blush gets evenly distributed across cheeks. I use it for highlighting and it gives my cheekbones a golden glow just like a Greek goddess. Its finish looks extremely natural so it can be worn everyday. It gives a beautiful glow which would compliment every skin tone. It flatters my dusky skin. It stays around 5-6 hours easily and after then starts to fade but I can see a hint of glow at the end of the day. I sometimes pat it on my eyes as an eyeshadow and it works too that way. Now I want to try its other highlighter shades as well!
• Simple and sleek packaging
• Pigmentation is buildable
• Has a silky, smooth texture
• Gets blended easily
• Will suit every skin tone
• Product’s name is misleading. It is not a blush but a highlighter.
Final Word: I bought this highlighter just for highlighting purpose and not as a blush so it didn’t disappoint me. However if you’re expecting it as a blush, it’s not! It has a velvety texture which gives a natural, sun-kissed glow to skin. It stays around for 5-6 hours and it’s lot more than you can expect from a highlighter at this price range.
Do you like the sun-kissed glow a highlighter gives? Which highlighter have you been using these days?
Lots of love,
