Hello beauties! Hope you’re having fun in the early weeks of 2016! I’m chillin’ at home trying to love and pamper my skin as much as I can. While shopping online at Purplle, I got a chance to add on few samples to my cart. It’s the sample of Breathe Aromatherapy Organic Green Tea Face and Body Scrub. So basically it’s a face and body scrub. My review will be on this today!
Price and Quantity: Rs. 1250/- for 50 g (usually available on discount)
Actual packaging comes in a transparent tub with an off white screw cap. The sample I have contains 5 g of the product which is enough for 2-3 uses on face. I haven’t tried it on body yet.
My Experience: Any product with green tea instantly attracts me and ‘organic’ sounds perfect. This scrub is off white in color with mini granules and green tea leaves. Its look and consistency is same like kulfi 😛 but more creamier. It has a faint herbal smell which fades away after a while.
I take a little amount and scrub evenly on my damp face in gentle circular motions. Granules doesn’t feel harsh however they are abrasive on skin so a light hand is required. After good scrubbing for 2-3 minutes, I leave it on my skin for 2 minutes and then rinse. It gets washed off easily and I notice a little glow on my face. It doesn’t dry out my face and in fact moisturizes it which feels nice in this chilly winter.
Here comes the main part, if you’ve read the ingredients list you would’ve seen 2 different types of parabens and it says it’s Organic? It’s so misleading. Although it has lots of natural extracts but what will I do with parabens? It shouldn’t be called organic then and considering its price I can get natural and organic scrub in a much lower price in other brands. Only the problem I have with this scrub is the label ‘organic’ and the price. Anyhow I’ll finish off my other sachets as it didn’t break me out or did any reaction on my skin.
● Contains green tea and other natural extracts.
● Granules apt for proper exfoliation.
● Moisturizes face after usage.
● It says organic but contains parabens.
● Pricey for a little quantity.
Final Word: I like the fact that it contains green tea which is rejuvenating for skin. This scrub exfoliates face well and leaves skin soft and supple. I hate that it contains parabens and it’s pricey. You can get better scrubs than this at much lower price!
